Yesterday in a 29-minute video released via militant social media accounts and websites ISIS militants in Libya shot and beheaded groups of captive of Ethiopian Christians.
According to “al-Marsad” one of executioners identification revealed. He is a Saudi Arabia national and his name is “Ans Al-Nashvan”. He is known also by name Abu Malik Al-Tamimi.
He is chief in ISIS Sharia court and well known in terrorist group.
He is graduated in Saudi Arabia University in the field of Sharia with the highest score.
In 2009 Al-Tamimi traveled to Afghanistan and joined al-Qaeda. After 3 years he joined ISIS.
In the video which released yesterday one group of captives, identified as Ethiopian Christians, purportedly held by an “Islamic State affiliate” in eastern Libya, known as Barqa Province, and another group purportedly held by an affiliate in the southern Libya region calling itself the Fazzan Province.
It then switches between footage of the captives in the south being shot dead and the captives in the east being beheaded on a beach. It was not immediately possible to estimate how many captives were killed or confirm their identities.
Ethiopia long has drawn the anger of extremists over its military’s attacks on neighboring Somalia, whose population is almost entirely Muslim.
While the militant in the video at one point said “Muslim blood that was shed under the hands of your religion is not cheap,” it did not specifically mention the Ethiopian government’s actions.
